Isles homeowners sought for Channel 4 show

homes by the sea3A TV company is on the lookout for Hebridean homeowners to feature in a popular Channel 4 series.

Production on the third series of coastal property show ‘Homes by the Sea’ is now underway, and the programme-makers want to feature homes in Lewis or Harris.

Presented by architectural designer Charlie Luxton, the series is based on the premise that it’s the dream of many people to live by the sea, and explores what draws them to the coast and how it shapes the architecture of the homes built close to it. The series has already paid a visit to Skye.

Each programme features four or five seaside homes — and they include everything from contemporary cliff-top mansions and designer lighthouses, to cosy cottages and quirky beach huts.

The series celebrates original design and coastal living and will feature completed properties, not houses going through a makeover.

A range of styles of architecture can be featured — but the one thing all the houses need to have is a sea view, and owners who are happy to appear on camera and talk about their home and the lifestyle living by the coast allows them to have.

Filming is due to take place between 16th and 22nd May, so anyone interested in having their home featured should email Keeley Lane from TV production company True North at
