A photographer’s search for the perfect landscape shot sparked a mountain rescue on Skye today (Wednesday).
Hoping to capture the famous landmark at first light, the Italian snapper had veered off the path to the Storr in Trotternish.
He ended up stuck on a crag, after struggling with the rocky terrain.
The alarm was raised at around 8.30am, and seven members of the Skye Mountan Rescue Team attended the scene.
The stricken snapper was eventually hauled – with the aid of ropes – from the crag, and escorted on foot back to the roadside.
Skye MRT leader Gerry Akroyd said: “He wasn’t injured, just a bit embarrassed.”
