Teenager’s dress looks crisp on the catwalk

CRISP DRESS - ALI MACRAE - 4A Kyle of Lochalsh girl has come up with a novel fashion hit – by making a dress out of used crisp packets.

Teenager Alison MacRae, a pupil at Plockton High School, created the colourful and eye-catching outfit which she entered into the Junk Kouture Scotland competition – a contest which challenges entrants to design wearable fashion from junk materials.

Alison has now made the shortlist for the competition finals, and is appealing to the public to vote for her creation, which she has entitled ‘Autumn Crisp’.

The poll closes on Friday, and votes can be cast online via the Junk Kouture Scotland facebook site.
