Committee members, parents and children are pictured at the existing playpark with some of the design ideas — left to right are Caroline Langlands, Evonne Keighley and Angela Stuart and (front) David MacDonald and Eilidh Fraser Over 60 local children and parents took the opportunity last weekend to view and discuss plans for an improved playpark in Kyle. The Kyle Playpark Action Group displayed two sets of designs in the village hall on Saturday, offering the community an idea of the options available to update and improve the playpark which is situated beside the Lochalsh Leisure Centre. The plans include features for people of all ages, with the needs of teenagers and older people being considered alongside those of young children. A group member said they were delighted with the turnout and the many positive comments and suggestions which were heard on the day. The group will now pass on these ideas to designers and hope to see the playpark renovation completed by Easter next year. |
