A woman who was convicted of murdering her husband at their home in Breakish on Skye is to appeal against her sentence.
At the High Court in Glasgow last June Sandra Bruce was jailed for a minimum of 15 years, after being found guilty of killing her husband Norman in February 2014.
The court heard that Mr Bruce, a 64-year-old former paramedic, never recovered after suffering a host of injuries, including 20 rib fractures, after being kicked, stamped and jumped upon by his wife.
Bruce’s bid to have her jail term cut is due to start tomorrow (Friday) at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh.
