A gravel autotest in Kyleakin Quarry last Saturday saw a good turnout of both local and visiting cars.
The Isle of Skye Rally Club event attracted a total of five local cars and six from the Inverness area. Ross MacRae from Kintail won the Class One competition. Topping Class Two was Jacob Harlington from Inverness, while John MacGregor, also Inverness, was first in Class Three.
The youngest female driver competing was Meghan O’Kane from Kyle, who at just 14 finished a very respectable 11th out of 13 drivers in her first event, driving a Mk 2 Ford Escort.
Hector MacInnes from the Isle of Skye Rally Club said: “Thanks to all who came from far and near to spectate or help and support our local event. The day was a hit with all drivers and we are already planning future events.”
