The Portree branch of the Bank of Scotland will host an Alzheimer Scotland fundraising event tomorrow (Friday).
From 10.30am to 3.30pm tea and cakes will be sold in aid of the charity, and representatives will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
Alzheimer Scotland’s Skye and Lochalsh Services manager, Kevin Lawley, said: “Please support our event and make your cuppa count! More needs to be done to support the needs of people with the illness as well as those who are caring for them 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
“Scotland needs to get talking about dementia, which affects 88,000 people across the country and over 4200 people in Highland. Talking openly about dementia is a key step to ending discrimination, avoiding isolation and overcoming stigma for everyone living with the illness so come along for a cuppa and start the conversation.”
