Shieldaig lad is trials bicycle champ

An eight-year-old Shieldaig boy has been named the Scottish Trials Bicycle Champion 2014 at primary level.

Bailey Dacker only began competing in the bicycle competitions in June this year, and his first event in Fort William saw him come third. He took first place at subsequent competitions in Killin, Aviemore and Glasgow, earning him the 2014 championship title.

Mum Lyndsay said: “We are very proud. We will be aiming to put him into the British national competitions next year and will be looking for sponsorships for him too.”
