North and South ladies share the honours

It was one apiece for the North and South ladies on Sunday following the under-18 and senior representative matches at Oban’s Mossfield Park.

First up was the under-18 fixture, which the North (pictured) won 2-1 thanks to goals from Megan Ralph of Strathglass and Rona Stewart from Badenoch and Strathspey. Lorne Ladies’ Alison MacVicar replied for the South.

The senior fixture saw the South come out on top 5-3 over the North. Scorers for the South were Glasgow Mid Argyll’s Lisa Norman with a hat-trick and Joan Nicolson, who struck a brace.

The goals for the North — coached by Skye Camanachd’s Sarah Corrigall — were Lorna MacRae (Skye), Laura Gallacher (Lovat) and Jeanette MacGregor (Badenoch and Strathspey).

There was a good showing for Skye Camanachd in both North squads, with Anna MacDonald, Katie Lamond, Emma Gordon, Fiona Lamond and Izzy Law in the under-18 side, while seven players were selected for the senior squad — Lorna MacRae, Sarah Corrigall, Nicola MacSween, Helen Lamond, Catriona Gibb, Caitlin MacLean and Ilana Paterson.
