Skye Camanachd Ladies booked themselves a place in the Valerie Fraser Cup Final last Saturday with a 2-1 win over Glengarry Ladies.
The islanders were missing several key players for the fixture at Kitarlity and an early period of dominance was overturned when Glengarry opened the scoring through Paige MacDonald. Skye rallied following a reshuffle, and equalised through Anna MacDonald before half time.
Further changes after the break saw Emma Gordon and Caitlin MacLean move into the forward line and this was to prove decisive as MacLean picked up a rebounding ball to slot home the winner, although the Garry fought to the end.
Skye will meet Glasgow Mid Argyll in the final, to be played at Strachur in September, in what will be a repeat of last year’s semi-final.
