Man airlifted following 200ft fall in Glenshiel

A man was seriously injured after falling around 200 feet while hillwalking in Glenshiel this week.

The man – part of a group of four – slipped and fell while descending a coire off the South Glenshiel Ridge, suffering serious multiple injuries.

Members of the Kintail Mountain Rescue Team and the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter attended the scene, where the casualty was treated and later stretchered by highline to the helicopter before being flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
