Rossiter and Standen show the way once more in Braes Run

Jeremy Rossiter led home a field of 24 runners battling wet and windy conditions in last Saturday’s Braes four-mile road race on Skye.

In what was the second of the Skye and Lochalsh Running Club’s winter series, the top two positions were unchanged from last month’s Kinloch Forest Trail. Rossiter completed the hilly four-mile course in a time of 25 minutes and 15 seconds to win by two and-a-half minutes from runner-up Hugh Standen.

Dan Mills pushed Norman Gillies into fourth place on this occasion, while the first woman home was Sarah Stephenson in 33 minutes and 51 seconds.

The next race in the five-event series will be the Skye 10k at Glenmore, due to be held on Saturday 11th January.
