Plockton seafood day a hit with pupils

High school and primary pupils from across Lochalsh and Wester Ross enjoyed a highly-successful seafood day in Plockton recently, including tucking into some tasty treats.

The day of interactive workshops was held as part of Seafood Scotland’s Seafood in Schools project and was attended by pupils from Plockton High School and Applecross, Auchertyre, Glenelg, Kyle, Kyleakin, Lochcarron, Loch Duich and Plockton primaries.

As well as learning about different types of seafood, pupils enjoyed a tasting session with herring, mackerel, sprats, salmon and trout and were shown how to prepare quick and tasty dishes.
