The Skye Quilters have just completed working on one of the panels for the Great Scottish Tapestry, which tells the story of Scotland from pre-history to modern times. The quilters’ intricate creation of ‘The Battle of the Braes’  will be one of 162 panels,  all worked on by different groups around Scotland, which will be unveiled at the Scottish Parliament during the summer before going on general tour.  The 28-strong group, who meet every month at Aros, have had 10 members working on the tapestry over the last six months. Pictured with the finished work are Jennifer Lewis, Sue Cooper, Irene Owen, Anne Trimmer and Lin Leighton.
